PRESS RELEASE FOR PET AMNESTY WEEK 2014

The Calvert County Sheriff’s Office Animal Control Unit will be holding its 6th annual Amnesty Week for pet owners to purchase pet licenses at a reduced cost.  The event will be held during the week of November 3-9, 2014.  Licenses may only be purchased at the reduced price at the following locations and times: the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office November 3, & 5-7 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and November 8 & 9 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.; the North Beach Volunteer Fire Department on November 3 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.; the Prince Frederick Volunteer Fire Department on November 5 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.; and the Solomons Volunteer Fire Department on November 6 from 5:30 p.m. to7:30 p.m.  The cost for a spayed/neutered pet will be $3.00 and non-spayed/non-neutered pets will be $10.00.  A copy of the pet’s current rabies vaccination and proof of spay or neuter will need to be provided to purchase the pet license.  Cash or check will be accepted.
