PRESS RELEASES FOR DECEMBER 7TH, 2015

During the week of November 30 through December 6 deputies of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office responded to 1,254 calls for service throughout the community.

Burglary Case #15-64681:

On December 1, 2015, Deputy J. Buck was dispatched to Asbury Circle in Solomons for the report of a theft of money.  Sometime between 11:00am on November 27 and 4:00pm on November 29, someone entered an apartment and removed money.  Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office.
CDS Violation Case #15-65586:
On December 6, 2015, Deputy C. Ward conducted a check welfare on the occupant in a vehicle parked on Town Center Boulevard, in Dunkirk.  He determined the driver, Valerie Miller, 36, of Lothian, MD, to be under the influence from ‘huffing’.  She was arrested for CDS-Inhale harmful substance and two (2) counts of paraphernalia possession (metal spoon and glass smoking device).

CDS Violation Case #15-65323:
On December 5, 2015, Deputy R. Evans responded to a call for a disorderly subject on Lottie Fowler Road, in Prince Frederick.  He charged and arrested Randi Spadaro, 30, of Lothian, MD with possession of heroin, paraphernalia, disorderly conduct, concealed deadly weapon and providing a false name upon arrest.  She was transported to the Detention Center.

CDS Violation Case #15-65513:
On December 6, 2015, while responding to a motorist in need on HG Trueman Road, in Lusby, Deputy R. Evans discovered the driver and passenger to be in possession of illegal substances.  Ryan Cox, 31, and Meagan Ricker, 24, both of Lusby, were arrested for possession of Alprazolam/Xanax, Suboxone and forged currency.

CDS Violation Case #15-65270:

On December 6, 2015, while Deputy G. Gott was conducting a traffic stop on HG Trueman Road, in Dowell, he discovered the driver, John Armour, 31, of Leonardtown, to be in possession of paraphernalia and suboxone.  He was arrested and transported to the Detention Center.

Destruction of Property Case #15-65119:

On December 4, 2015, Deputy K. Williamson responded to the area of Old Bayside Road, Chesapeake Beach, for the report that someone had driven their vehicle through a field and destroyed a “No Trespassing” sign.  The incident took place between 5:30pm on December 3 - 7:00am on December 4.  Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office.

Disorderly Conduct Case #15-64751:

On December 2, 2015, while Deputy A. Ostazeski was responding to a possible burglary in progress on HG Trueman Road, he determined Jake Herron, 25, of Brooklyn, Michigan to be under the influence of alcohol.  He was charged with disorderly conduct and alcohol beverage/intoxication.

Disorderly Conduct Case #15-65464:

On December 5, 2015, Deputy C. Childress responded to a check welfare call on a subject located on N. Solomons Island Road, Prince Frederick.  He arrested Joseph Partonen, 52, of Lothian, MD with alcohol beverage/intoxicated endanger and transported him to the Detention Center for processing.

Theft Case #15-65221:

On December 4, 2015, Deputy A. Locke was dispatched to the Fox Run Liquor store on North Solomons Island Road, Prince Frederick, for a shoplifting complaint.  An unknown person made off with a bottle of whiskey from the business.

On December 4, 2015, Deputy C. Ward was dispatched to Mt. Harmony Lane, Owings, for the report of a theft.  The victim reported multiple aluminum items were stolen from his yard within the last week, including two (2) flag poles.  Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office. 

Theft Case #15-64984:

On December 3, 2015, Deputy P. Mosely was dispatched to Sweetwater Road, Lusby, for the report of theft of copper from a signal tower.  The theft occurred between December 1 - December 3.

Theft Case #15-64780:

On December 2, 2015, Deputy S. Moran was dispatched to Parran Road, St. Leonard, for the report of a stolen package.  An unknown person removed a package pickup slip from the victim’s mailbox & retrieved the package from the Post Office.  This occurred sometime between November 16 - November 24. 

Theft Case #15-64431:

On November 30, 2015, Deputy K. Williamson was dispatched to Sheckels Road, in Huntingtown, for the report of a theft from an unlocked vehicle.  Sometime between 5:30am and 6:00am on November 30, the victim’s vehicle was entered and money was stolen from a wallet.
