During the week of February 8 through February
15 deputies of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office responded to 1,640 calls for service throughout the
community.
Burglary Case
#16-8258:
On February 12, 2016 Dfc. A. Locke was dispatched to Cross
Point Drive in Owings for the report of an attempted burglary. The victim noticed pry marks on the door and
door frame of their garage entry. It is
not known the specific time period this incident may have occurred.
CDS Violation Case
#16-8414:
On February 13, 2016 Dfc. C. Ward conducted a traffic stop
on Donald’s Way after observing a vehicle make an illegal turn. He observed the occupants to be in possession
of a controlled dangerous substance (heroin).
Eric Scott Woomer, 31 and Holly Elizabeth Parks, 25, both from
Chesapeake Beach, were transported to the Detention Center and charged with possession
and distribution of heroin.

Destruction of
Property Case #16-7426:
On February 3, 2016 Deputy K. Williamson responded to
Schooner Lane in Prince Frederick for the report of a damaged vehicle. An unknown suspect(s) scratched the victim’s
bumper between the hours of 1:00pm - 7:00pm.
Motor Vehicle
Theft Case #16-7619:
On February 10, 2016 Deputy T.
Mohler was dispatched to the Kmart parking lot for the report of a vehicle
theft. The victim reported their white
Ford F-250 truck and attached yellow Myers snow plow were stolen sometime
between 7:00am on February 9 and 7:00am on February 10 while parked in the lot.
Police Information Case #16-8205:
On
February 12, 2016 Cpl. M. Naecker was
dispatched to Larkview Court (East) in Dunkirk with the report of suspicious
behavior. Several incidences have
occurred in the early morning hours where unknown suspect(s) have opened
resident’s garage doors with an unknown device.
At this time no items have been reported stolen. Citizens are reminded to be vigilant and
report any suspicious activity as it occurs.
Theft Case #16-8011:
On February 11, 2016 Deputy V. O’Donnell responded to Long
Beach Road in St. Leonard for a report of a theft. The victim reported the registration sticker
was removed from a license plate sometime between December 2015 and early
February 2016.
Theft Case #16-7891:
On February 11, 2016 Deputy W. Durner responded to Hoile
Lane in Huntingtown for the report of tampering and thefts from vehicles. Several vehicles had been rummaged through between
February 10 from 9:00pm and 6:45am the following morning with the following
items being stolen: Under Armour bag
containing basketball shoes, a jersey and pair of Coach glasses; green Gap
jacket, backpack with a calculator and college books; a wallet, cards and
Geneva watch; Baikal MP 153 12 gauge shot gun and multiple pieces of jewelry.
Theft Case #16-7784:
On February 10, 2016 Deputy P. Aurich was dispatched to the
Dunkirk Wal-Mart for the report of a shoplifting. Collector cards and a Superman blanket were
stolen by unidentified male suspects.
Theft Case #16-7487:
On February 8, 2016 Deputy J. Buck was dispatched to Pine
Boulevard in Lusby for the report of stolen mail. An Amazon package, containing the book
“Insect Pollinators” was stolen out of the victim’s mailbox.
Theft Case #16-7281:
On February 8, 2016 Deputy J. Migliaccio arrived at Randle
Avenue, in Chesapeake Beach, in response to a theft from that location. Sometime between February 4 - February 8 an
unknown suspect(s) stole the victim’s 2003 Yamaha 25hp 4-stroke outboard motor,
which was attached to a boat parked on the victim’s property.
Theft Case #16-7243:
On February 16, 2016 Deputy S. Esposito was dispatched to
Leonard Court in St. Leonard for the report of a theft. Sometime between mid-December 2015 and early
February 2016 an unknown suspect(s) stole the victim’s 47” LG TV, Dell Inspiron
Laptop, Uline hand dolly and a ceramic heater.
There were no signs of forced entry.
