On April 26, 2017 at approximately 3:02 pm deputies were dispatched to the intersection of HG Trueman Road and Cove Point Road Lusby for a report of an accident with injuries.  An investigation revealed a 2003 Mitsubishi, operated by Tobriana Destiny Gantt of Lusby, was traveling north on HG Trueman and attempting to make a left turn onto Cove Point Road.  There were also 2 male juvenile passengers in the vehicle.  At the same time a 2003 Jeep, operated by Taylor Renee Bromwell of Prince Frederick, was heading south on HG Trueman at Cove Point Road.  Witnesses on the scene stated the light turned yellow as the Jeep entered the intersection.  The Mitsubishi had a circular green light, but did not yield the right of way and struck the Jeep head-on.  Both of the drivers were transported via ambulance to Calvert Memorial Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.  One of the juveniles in the Mitsubishi, a 4 year old male, was flown to Children’s Hospital.  His injuries also appear to be non-life threatening.  Charges are pending in this case.
